Miriam's play opens, and Abe leaves the theater in tears. Not only because so much of the play is based off of his wife's experiences as a young woman, but because it's...

Truly, it's a beautiful piece of work. The acting and directing were superb, and the writing...

His daughter is capable of that, and he never knew.

He always considered Noah to be the genius. Gifted in mathematics and science. Quick-thinking and successful.

Miriam was the girl. Her job was to find a husband and have children and keep house, and when that fell through, and she started the comedy career, Abe was perturbed, but she was making money, so he didn't ask too many questions.

And then the accident happened, and it became...

Well.

But he never looked at his daughter as something...more.

And that was a mistake.

Rose is basking in the attention of being the inspiration for the play, chatting with journalists and producers, but Miriam is nowhere to be found, despite this being her triumph as the show's writer.

He finds his daughter sitting in the front row of the empty house inside the theater, Lenny next to her as they chat quietly together.

"Miriam?"

She gets to her feet slowly, using Lenny's hand to steady herself. She didn't bring her cane, though she likely should have tonight. But she makes her way to him handily, smiling. "So? What do you think, Papa? Do I get a good review?"

When she reaches him, Abe reaches out, holding her shoulders and kissing her forehead, gazing at her proudly, before turning and walking away.

"What was that about?" Abe hears Lenny ask.

Miriam is smiling. "I think he liked it."
